Belief
Instagram killed the secret spot. Surf travel deserves places with a true connection to the ocean. We believe in quality over quantity, in curation over noise, and in the small details that turn a stay into a great memory.
Collection
We look for the things that make us extend our stays: great waves, considered design, good sleep, honest food, and hosts who care. If it feels interchangeable with anywhere else, it's not for us. If it’s here, we would go back.
Approach
Finding great places takes time on the ground. We do the fieldwork (visiting, surfing, and checking back in), so you can just book the flight. New places are added; some drop off. If it's here, it’s not by accident. We went and decided it matters.
Contributors
Our contributors are not travel writers. They are architects, photographers, marine biologists, bartenders and the occasional executive. They go all the way around the world for a specific wave, but travel slowly. They are embedded in the surf communities, and understand which places deserve your time.
Community
This works best as a conversation. Share your finds, tell us what’s changed, and where we should paddle out next. If you run a place that fits, introduce yourself and we’ll come see. We welcome partnerships that improve the reader’s trip, but the shortlist is earned.
