December to April: the most powerful and consistent season, with regular North Atlantic swell. It is bigger, colder, and sometimes stormier; best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers.
May to August: smaller, friendlier waves with warmer weather and longer days, making this the most accessible period for beginners despite midsummer crowds.
